About Me
Compositor and VFX Artist skilled in Nuke
I am a graduate of the Digital Animation & Visual Effects School (The DAVE School) in Orlando, Florida. I previously earned my Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin.
I have loved television and movies for as long as I can remember. Often I spend more time with a DVD or Blu-Ray watching the special features and behind-the-scenes documentaries than the actual movies. I love to find out what went into making movie magic and seeing a glimpse of the contributions of all the various people who use their passion and skills to bring the final product to the big screen.
I have also loved superheroes since I was at least 4 years old and find that comic books are like America's new mythology: starting in the late 1930s and exploding in the Silver Age success of the 1960s. Spider-Man is my personal favorite. I find that the energy and nature of those stories inspires me to dream big and take life lessons wherever one comes across. Storytelling is such an amazing endeavor and it has been amazing seeing what skilled artists have been bringing to life from those old 4-color comic books on to screens both big and small.
I have a passion for puzzles and logic problems and digging deep into topics to soak up as much knowledge as my brain can sponge up. I find this also helps me learn the depth and breadth of software applications that I have been exposed to in my life. I love to dive in and use these powerful tools to create visually interesting works.
